HOW IT WORKS
The concrete volume formula.
Concrete volume in cubic metres equals length × width × thickness in metres. Because the calculator asks for thickness in millimetres, it divides the depth by 1,000 before calculating.
Volume (m³) = Length (m) × Width (m) × (Thickness (mm) ÷ 1,000)
WORKED EXAMPLE
10 m × 5 m × 100 mm slab
Area: 10 × 5 = 50 m²
Volume: 50 × 0.1 = 5.00 m³
With 10% waste: 5.00 × 1.10 = 5.50 m³ recommended
